As of 2008, Gerrit acts as an originator manager within the current Loan and Debt Market team of KBC Securities with the goal of obtaining debt capital market transactions from KBC Group clients in Belgium and the Central European region. Gerrit has been responsible for the origination, structuring and execution of various public bond and private placement issues concluded by KBC including strategic financing pitches as well as recommendations related to debt issuance and hedging strategies.
Prior to this position, Gerrit worked on the Funding desk of KBC Bank covering bond issues (senior and subordinated) as well as structured notes under the EMTN programme.
Gerrit holds a Master degree in Business Economics and an postgraduate Advanced Master degree in Finance from the Catholic University of Leuven (K.U.L.).
