Financial close of the Baltyk 2 and 3 offshore wind projects

We’re proud to announce KBC Bank & Verzekering and the KBC Securities Project Finance team has acted as mandated lead arranger in the successful financial close of the Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 offshore wind projects—two landmark developments that will shape the future of Poland’s energy landscape.

Sponsored by Equinor and Grupa Polenergia and with a combined capacity of 1,440 MW, these wind farms — located 22 to 37 km off the Polish coast — will generate enough clean electricity to power 2 million Polish households.

Backed by a 25-year CfD and supported by some of the most experienced suppliers in the industry, the projects are a cornerstone of Poland’s energy transition.

KBC Bank & Verzekering is honored to be among the select group of around 30 financial partners, including the European Investment Bank (EIB) , Nordic Investment Bank, Euler Hermes, KUKE, and BGK & Co LLP, contributing to over EUR 6 billion in project financing.
