Here in Moscow, we specialise in assisting international investors in acquiring businesses, as well as local companies in attracting strategic and financial partners.
Having a strong network of contacts and an extensive list of completed credentials, we are well positioned to execute cross-border and domestic transactions across many countries throughout Europe and CIS (primarily in mergers and acquisitions). We are also particularly strong in raising capital from private equity firms and, in co-operation with our sister offices, from equity capital markets in London, Brussels, and Warsaw. Our core markets however are Russia, Ukraine, the Baltic States (Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia), and Scandinavian countries.
Our parent company was established in 1999, in Latvia, as local corporate finance advisory ‘The Baltic Investment Company’. However since 2007 we have become part of KBC Securities – the investment banking arm of leading European integrated bancassurance group KBC. The name changed into KBC Securities Baltic Investment Company (BIC). KBC Group employs more than 60,000 people and looks after more than 12 million customers worldwide. In 2008, a subsidiary was estabilished in Russia, KBC Securities BIC Russia.
Our team operates across the region from offices in Riga, Moscow and Kiev. Together we have a great deal of experience in various sectors including: consumer goods and retail; financial services; pharmaceuticals; energy; and telecoms, media and technology.
